Becoming a member of National REIA opens many doors for local real estate investors associations and their individual members. Immediate access to exclusive member benefits, high quality education and training, and an expansive network upon which to build your business makes a National REIA membership worth every penny. While becoming a member is very easy, there are actually two different options for associations looking to join.

Affiliate Membership

The Affiliate Membership is specifically created for those groups which desire to be a part of National REIA, but are not quite ready to become a chapter. Affiliate groups have the opportunity to gain benefits with National REIA partners, attend networking events, and benefit from provided education.

While affiliate groups are not required to follow all of the same requirements as a National REIA chapter, they are required to uphold the same standards and mission.

Affiliate Requirements

  • Exists for Member Development
  • Mission Statement
  • Ethics Policy
  • Three references
  • Roster of Board & Staff members
  • Membership database
  • Articles of Incorporation, if applicable
  • Bylaws, if applicable
  • IRS letter of determination for non-profit status or IRS non-profit application, if applicable
  • Steps should be taken to avoid all perception of conflict of interest or impropriety when staff or leaders invest with members. National REIA recommends that this activity be restricted within the group.
  • DBA certificate, if applicable
